Directions By car From the north and south Leave M6 at junction 42, follow signs for Dalston. Follow the road for approx 2 miles until you reach a staggered junction and turn right. The racecourse is approximately 1 mile on the left hand side. From the east Take A69 or A66 to M6 motorway. Join the M6 and leave at junction 42 and follow directions above. From the west Travel along the A595 following signs for Carlisle. Continue along this road and take the 3rd exit at the next roundabout. Follow the road past the Garden Centre and turn left at the junction. Follow this road and at T-junction in Dalston turn right. Follow road until you reach Bridge End pub. Turn left over the bridge and follow signs for Durdar. When you reach the next junction, turn left. The racecourse is approximately a mile on the left hand side. The postcode for the sat nav is CA2 4TS. By bus On racedays, Reays operate a bus service from Lonsdale Street, near the Church, opposite the bus station, up to the Racecourse. Buses run 90 minutes and 45 minutes before the first race and return to Carlisle 5 minutes and 35 minutes after the last race. The cost for this service is £1.60 each way. Stagecoach (01228 597222) operate a bus service to Durdar – Route 65 or 66. Alternatively the racecourse is only a short taxi ride or a slightly longer walk away. Parking Free car and coach parking is available close to the racecourse. Please follow the directional signs to the public car parks as you approach the racecourse. The racecourse opens between 2 and 2.5 hours before the first race. If you have booked hospitality, we recommend arriving as soon as we open the gates in order to allow sufficient time to enjoy your meal before the racing starts.Disabled parking is also signposted and is located in the North Car Park just across from the Premier Entrance to the Racecourse. The course is fully signposted from Junction 42 of the M6 and from the surrounding areas.
